1982 Falklands War Mount Longdon, Wireless Ridge 'Infantry Regiment 7' Argentinian Helmet

An Argentinian soldiers helmet with marking to Infantry Regiment 7 who fought at Mount Longdon & Wireless Ridge against the British Parachute regiment.
This helmet is typical of those seen in wear by the conscripted soldiers who fought as infantry during this campaign with the green parka hood being utilised as a camouflage cover. The black rubber band was a common method of holding them in place & is seen on many of the helmets used there. Upon lifting of the band the difference in colour fading due to heavy weathering is immediately apparent . Helmet liner is typical of an Argentinian reworked example with ad hoc rivetting of the replacement white vinyl liner system evident . The ' SEGOVIA' mark can be seen on the underside of the central yoke. One end of the chinstrap has a hook replacement this is totally period & very typical of that found on Argentinian helmets.
A combat veteran & iconic Falklands war piece.
