WW1 French Zouave Soldier Souvenir Personal Items Roll

A rare item of militaria from the 3rd Zouve Regiment being a personal items roll which commemorates Algiers 1901 -1904 with place names written on each side & the insignia of the Zouaves / Armee D'Afrique drawn on it. In the fine red wool associated with these troops it has the regimental stamp of ' 3e ZOUA' with soldiers number of 8567'. Such placenames as Setif, Bougie , Guelma & Batna are
artistically written onto it with the wording ' Souvenir D'Algerie 1901 1904 ' & ' Constantine' where the 3rd Zouaves were linked to.
Fascinating one off piece of French history.
