WW1 US 1st Division Brodie Helmet
A British made Brodie helmet & one of the 400,000 that were initially sent out to the USA upon her entry into WW1. This piece has insignia of the 1st Infantry Division & is named by hand to the underside of the rim.
In very good condition it has a very high proportion of its original sand mixed rough khaki paint to exterior with signs of field service in the form of minor chips & scuffs to the paint. Underside of helmet bears a faint name & markings 'FS-105' for the manufacturing firm & batch number of the steel . Liner is excellent with chinstrap undamaged & still supple.
