WW2 British MkIII Turtle Helmet with Camouflage Net - Double 1944 dated

A MkIII ' Turtle ' helmet as issued to assault formations of the 21st Army Group just prior to the Normandy invasion & seen in wear on the beaches of D Day on the 6th June 1944. This piece has camouflage net fitted & is typical of those used by British infantry soldiers fighting in N.W.Europe.
Still retaining a high proportion of its original factory khaki green paint with original undisturbed liner screw to top & liner firmly in place. The maker 'RO&Co' ( Rubery Owen & Co ) can be seen on the inside of the shell along with the date 1944. To the liner cradle is the maker 'BMB' with matching date of 1944. Rexene in undamaged condition. Comes complete with brown camouflage net.
