WW2 Russian SSH36 Helmet

A very rare SSh36 ( Model 36 ) Russian combat helmet reputedly a recent German loft find & an iconic piece from the early battles of WW2.
This was the first truly Soviet design much worn in the early campaigns against the Wehrmacht in WW2. This model was succeeded by the 39 & 40 patterns. This untouched example is in its typical green colour with the distinctive top comb totally intact. The original web chinstrap is still present with its correct web securing loop & wartime steel rivets. The serrated buckle is an early pattern. The top comb is derived from the French Adrian helmet which was used by Russia in the first world war.
We can see faint numerical markings to the shells rim . Overall the condition is very good with the liner long gone & just some of its original liner ventilation strips remaining.
A very rare example of this scarce & historical Soviet combat helmet . Wonderful display piece.
