WW1 British RFC 'Air Packet' Map Set 1916

A stunning 1916 dated set of WW1 aviation maps in the configuration know as the Air packet . These were issued to individual flyers and consisted of multiple large scale maps , 46 in total . These are held in their original treated 1916 dated linen slip case . Many of us have had the pleasure of visiting many of these areas particularly in Belgium and France so to see so many famous places mapped as they were in 1916 is both fascinating and enlightening . The whole set is very good with some slight foxing but the maps colours are all clear and bright . The rear of the slip case shows staining and wear consummate with service use and time .
