WW1 German M18 Steel Combat Helmet
As an example of this very hard to find helmet , this M1918 is one of the best one could hope to obtain . Totally complete and in very very nice condition . This looks to have been if worn at all only for a very limited period . Unusually for this model everything is there including the very often missing chinstrap system . All leather work is intact and complete with the three factory installed leather pads that clearly have never been out ! The paintwork is unoiled or waxed and has a very nice patina . There are many markings including maker being G = Gerbruder Gnuchtel in there size 62 . An ink AK inspection team stamp and also an ink 62 . The chinstrap is good and supple with a nice deep makers stamp and 1918 date .
