WW1 French M1877 Other Ranks Early War Greatcoat.

The textbook "Capote" greatcoat as worn by the French infantry and many other branches from the very outset of the Great war in August of 1914 . To the collar are twin regimental number patches of the 143 infantry of the line regiment from castlenaudry-Carcasonne ( PLEASE SEE MATCHING KEPI 15209 ) The iron blue grey wool is good throughout having the matching and so often absent rolled epaulettes . There are the typical multiple issue and reissue stamps to the liner . There are a few small well executed collector repairs but this example is above average compared to the vast majority that survive .
