WW1 German Gummi Mask Set 1916

A scarce time capsule set of the mid war Gummi mask and filter housed in its correct tin with all strapping and card instruction disk . The mask is a Drager made example with a canister made by E.Schering .To the masks filter mounting is an excellent set of soldiers details .The mask is still good and supple with one rear strap adrift , (this just needs tacking back in place ) The canister has the normal russet light rust one finds upon 99% of these but it has been collector treated . The carry tin has much of the factory paint in place and looks to have never been oiled . Interestingly the soldier applied medical tape to the inner lip to give a better tighter fit
