WW2 US Mackinaw /Jeep Coat
A large sized example of the US 1936 1st type Mackinaw of WW2 .
This is a rare British made example as is indicated by the Egyptian cotton twill of its manufacture rather than the lighter cotton duck of those made in the USA . The buttons also differ on British examples as can be seen here as well as the lining being of British battledress serge material . There is a good level of wear and use to make a combat display or for wear . Label removed. The chest is an approx 42in, rear collar to bottom edge 34in , and armpit to sleeve edge 21.5in.
