WW2 British HSAT MkII Paratrooper Helmet 1944
A very good example of a 1944 dated Airborne helmet as worn by all Paratroopers and Gliderborne troops .
This version has the correct webbing straps that can be seen in wear in period images of troops in Normandy but became very widespread through Arnhem and beyond to the Rhine crossing . The helmet is a very clean and only lightly used piece . 95+% of the rough granulated khaki paint is present , this has been well protected by the undisturbed camouflage net . Liner shows some light service wear however the date of 1944 & size '7 5/8'remains clear . Webbing chin harness has the correct rayon tab this distinct & only found on wartime manufactured examples.
