WW2 French 'Battle For France 1940' Engineers Adrian Helmet

A totally untouched souvenir from the 1940 Battle of France being a French M26 Adrian helmet with insignia to front for Engineers.
This helmets Engineers badge is the earlier M15 version with its earlier blue paint visible under the green in places. WW1 badges were much utilised on the new M26 models before the M37 insignia roundel became general issue. The rest of its dark green paint finish remains good with liner system having never been out of the helmet . Liner tightening string original & correct. When one carefully looks inside at the helmets dome the maker name 'JAPY' can be seen this being one of the most famous French helmet makers. Having been outbuilding stored for many years after the war it is not unusual that a small splash of old white paint can be seen to the underside of the rear rim. I have left it as found its removal up to the next owner.
