WW1 French M1893 Field Pack

French Field Pack of the standard WW1 M1893 model as used by the French soldier in the trenches of WW1.
In overall well used but good condition it is constructed of light canvas with brown leather edging. The rear swivel carry straps are both intact & in good order to the rear. The inspection stamp to underside of flap is faint but appears to be for the year 1918. This pack comes with long equipment strap for 'marmite' pot & one side strap for attaching the groundsheet etc around the side. One of the front securing straps is slightly shortened but still fully functional.
WW1 examples of these packs are very hard to find many having been used to destruction during & after WW1.
