WW2 USAAF M5 Flak Helmet

An excellent example of the M5 Flak helmet worn by USAAF aircrews from January to August 1945. Differing slightly from the more common M3 Flak helmet these versions did not have ear cups or dome padding ever fitted & utilised a leather chinstrap instead of the canvas. Still with the anti freezing flock covering to exterior this is still largely intact with fully functional hinged earflap operation. Liner system & padded forehead band excellent.
