WW1 German M16 Camouflage Helmet

A WW1 German M16 camouflage helmet with three colour scheme & finger thick black dividing lines to its entirety.
With the standard colours of tan ochre , brown & forest green being prominent the black dividing lines have been applied sharply around each segment all in the finger thick width which was standardised by the Ludendorff order of 1918 . These existed well before the '18 order in varying forms with differing degrees of thickness to the lines if they had any at all in some cases. The order was to regiment what had become an ad hoc interpretation of camouflaging helmets as can be seen in original examples that surface today. Made by ET & a size 64 the factory green paint can be seen to its underside with laminated leather band denoting later manufacture when surplus inferior leather offcuts were laminated together to produce bands which then needed strengthening by the use of several layers of stitching. All pads & pad holders present.
