WW1 British Officers Private Purchase 'Hawkes' Brodie Helmet With Trench Cover

Superb example of a private purchase British officer helmet by the well known Military outfitters 'Hawkes' . Helmet shell is in the early light green typical of early productions. Hawkes provided a number of liner variations this being the four point ' Self Fitting Version'. Cover is a maker specific to Hawkes with leather reinforcing trim to interior . Two holes to front of helmet suggest previous fitment of a cap badge. Leather chinstrap intact.
