WW2 US M1 Front Seam Fixed Bales Helmet Shell
An early WW2 US front seam fixed bales helmet shell with early brass raised bar chinstrap buckles & original wartime cork mixed green paint to inside & out.
This version of the M1 shell was widely used in the ETO (European Theatre Of Operations) the fixed bales only manufactured until the end of 1943 & the front seam being in existence right through until November 1944. Markings to interior lip of shell are faint however the 'S' denoting manufacture by Scheluter is still visible.
