WW1 British Trench Pump 1917

A 1917 dated example of this rare piece of Trench equipment intended to relieve the appalling conditions of the waterlogged trenches.
Very rarely seen today as most are dugup examples from the battlefields of WW1.
This pump still has its original wooden handle , most are missing due to general decay or excessive woodworm. Hand pump action works although I have not tried to use it so its working condition is not guaranteed.
