WW2 British Officer Post Home Parcel Of 'Gift Tea'
Sent home to a relative by a British officer serving overseas in the early part of WW2 this wooden box contains Ceylon tea with a 1937 dated Parcel Post customs declaration to its lid & a label stuck to the side entitled ' GIFT TEA FROM FORCES' . This label gives the sender as a Captain  (S) F.J.Lloyd. The lid was originally nailed on however the tin foil wrapping can just be seen under the lid . I have made no attempt to remove it. 
Never used for an unknown reason & kept as a keepsake until now.  A one off , very unique,  British soldier send home item.
