A fabulous grouping of WW1 German items which were all found together in France some years ago with pickelhaube having matching 13th 'Herwarth von Bittenfeld' infantry regiment (1st Westphalian) No. 13 IR ink markings to that of the green numbered cover.
This whole set was most likely lost or captured in the early 1915 period with the prewar red numbering system having changed to green...  read more
