An excellent WW1 French officers tunic of the 9th Infantry Regiment.
This tunic is in the style of the 1913 pattern with standup collar , tight fit & four pockets although in this case with the pockets concealed & exposed straight pocket flaps all most likley dating this tunic to around the late '14/ early '15 period. WW1 French 42nd Inf. Regiment Trumpet Banner

A French soldiers souvenir of WW1 being a beautifully made hanger for the 42nd Infantry regiment with Cross of Lorraine medal ribbon & Cross of Lorraine incorporated into the design.
Made from the 1915 horizon blue woollen uniform material it is edges in yellow which is the infantry branch colour. Some moth as can be seen in pictures but a very nice piece of WW1 French 'Poilu' history.  read more

Interesting pre WW1 barrack block instructional hankerchief for the French soldier on the Model 1886 Rifle.
These were made for the soldiers in a whole series on various subjects this being No.9 on the rifle. There are detailed drawings demonstrating parts & other relevant information .

An early private purchase French pistol holster for the Officers Sam Brown belt equipment set .
Most likely to be for a revolver such as the French Model 1873/74 . The thick ridging to the mouth of the holster is very typical of French holsters of the period.  read more
